As a child, Rachmaninoff often visited Orthodox churches. He liked the sound of Church bells. Often in different works of the composer you can hear the similarity of sound. In the prelude, GIS moll most vividly conveyed the character and variety of sounds, likened to the Royal bell on the bell tower.

В детстве Рахманинов часто посещал православные храмы. Ему нравился звук церковных колоколов. Часто в разных произведениях композитора можно услышать подобие их звучания. В прелюдии соль диез минор наиболее ярко композитор передал характер и разнообразие звуков, уподобленных царь-колоколу на колокольне.
