Meet Polina

Piano Instructor

Polina was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, and started studying piano at the age of 7. After graduating from the Mussorgsky Music College, she started working as an accompanist and a piano teacher in a Music school for children. Later on, Polina gained her Master's degree in Music Education at Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia.

As an accompanist, she took part in many festivals and competitions and performed in all of the important concert halls in Saint-Petersburg, such as both Philharmonia Halls, Conservatory Glasunov Hall, Capella Hall, Mariinsky Theatre Old Stage, Yusupov Palace Hall.

From 1998 to 2020 Polina had been working in one of the best music schools of Saint-Peterburg - a state school for children on Vasilievsky Island. 

Polina believes that Music Education is very important for people of all ages because it develops multitasking, creative, analytical, and communicative skills, which help students to succeed in life even if they don’t choose to be professional musicians. She also believes that music enriches people’s lives with new emotions and lots of fun.
