Claragh Hoare is a graduate of the Irish Cork School of Music, where she studied with Eleanor Malone, Dr. Gabriela Mayers, and Jan Cap. Here she was awarded scholarships for five consecutive years, before completing a BMus (Hons) and MMus (Hons).
She has participated in various masterclasses with such internationally acclaimed pianists as Philip Martin, Hugh Tinney, Barry Snyder, and Fanny Waterman to name a few.
A keen performer, Claragh has given recitals at numerous venues, including Curtis Auditorium, Crawford Art Gallery, Triskel Arts Centre, Cork Institute of Technology, as well as winning prizes at various prestigious competitions including Feis Maitiu Senior Prizewinners Competition for Piano, Feis Ceoil John Field Cup, Feis Maitiu Senior Concerto Competition, among others.
Claragh has been teaching piano for the past fifteen years. She has also developed a First Steps in Music program for the very young musician, based on the Kodaly Method. Using different teaching methods, Claragh also specializes in preparing for ABRSM exams, where her students got much success throughout the years.
